can't decide if i've pushed myself too hard today.
i've felt kinda cruddy all day. cold meds kept me going. i didn't feel bad enough to leave work, and actually started to feel pretty good by the end of the day.
i had my heart set on trail running, but with a huge summer storm system sweeping across the valley, i thought it'd be best to stick to the road instead. plus, i received a pair of Cloudrunners from my On running rep this morning and was pretty giddy to surf the clouds. so, road it was!
i had a great run. nice easy 4.33 miles at an average pace of 9'34 for the first half and 9'04 to bring it home. i'm not the fastest, but i felt too elated to care. also finally got to test out my Suunto and i am in love!
i'll have to do a shoe review. on first impression, they are a big on the wide side and the forefoot isn't all that forgiving flex wise. you can actually feel the CloudTec though! anyways, i'll have to break them in a bit more before formulating an well-rounded opinion.
fast forwarding a bit... made dinner and prepped my breakfast casserole. no pictures of either yet. the lighting in my house is so yellow it didn't do my pizza justice. the casserole, well that's still in the oven...
all the while, i began having these terrible, side-splitting pains in my abdomen ever since i got home. they're so bad i've doubled over several times and even shed a few tears. and i'm one tough cookie generally. it takes quite a lot of pain to get me to slow down. i'm nauseous and in pain. my head feels a mess. my muscles are so achy and fatigued all over, even though i took it pretty easy. i don't know, maybe my normal light effort is a bit too much for my body right now. be gone germs! i'm so through with you!
ughhh... i think it's time for bed...

Ohhh no, I hope you feel better, girl! :( Sounds like no fun at all! Try not to push yourself too hard, I think this is your body telling you to kick it down a notch maybe, at least for the time being! By the way, your new shoes are really cute. Looking forward to your review on them!

aw thank you :) yea, i've been keeping things low key and resting. i'm not a fan of missing my workouts, but i know the more i rest the faster i can kick this cold.
