And welcome to my blog. :)

The name's Yahira, pronounced Ja-hi-ruh.

Not as complex as it looks, but feel free to use my middle name, Ariel.

It's much less scary looking. ;)

I am married to this ^ dude.
Jared., a.k.a. "the dude," or just "J."

We've got a love, love thing going on,
and after 7 years, made it official on 6.7.2014!!

We are the proud parents of these four goobers.
Human babies are in our future too, but for now,
we have our hands plenty full with this crew.

To me, life is for the living!

I am thankful for each day given to me,

and enjoy indulging in all life's beauties.

Keeping active is a way of life for me!

Getting my heart rate revving, and a good sweat

going never ceases to make me smile, and calm my mind.

My workouts include: spin, running, yoga, hiking, and cycling.

Food is also a big part of my life.

There is something innately soothing about boding 

over a good meal with friends and family.

As a sufferer of food allergies and intolerances,

eating with and around others can be complicated,

but a Goonie never says die . . . and neither do foodies. ;)

My food adventures are made up of: baking, cooking, eating 

(of course), and enjoying tea, coffee, and wine.

Knowledge is something I seek constantly.

Books. Magazines. E-articles.

All forms are fair game.

Recently, I have reconnected with, and am exploring my faith.

Maintaining balance in this ever changing life requires diligence. 

Juggling obligations with needs and desires is no small feat.

That is where my journey comes in.

My focus is not to lose weight. I do not diet, don't believe in depriving 

myself of "good" food (moderation is key!), and do no always eat clean.

I do not live at the gym (although I applaud those who do).

I am simply aiming to be the best me possible.
