holy moly was today busy, busy, busy! sunday always is, since it is reserved for shopping and errand running. we ran here. we ran there. and back. and forth. and back. and forth . . . the thing about today is that neither of us had our heads on straight, so we did what felt like an awful lot of mindless running around because we kept forgetting things. where on earth were our heads? the mystery still remains. ;)
our most important, and slightly stressful, stop of the day was taking Neo the vet. the vet's assessment was a lot like ours. no weight loss. no loss in his playful nature. no visible ailments. hmmm . . . his temperature was a hair high, which she chalked it up to the stress of being a the vet since, looking back at his charts, he was logged at a slightly elevated temp each time we've brought him in. she did hear a slight wheezing, but nothing at all that firmly pointed towards him being sick. no detectable facial, throat, or chest tenderness. nada. she expressed a slight concern of a possibly serious underlying issue, due to the fact that he does seem 100% healthy, minus the horrible, hacking cough and sneezing, which could be the tell-tale signs of a heart murmur. wanting to explore a less serious option first, she prescribed a round of antibiotics, in case it is in fact a bacterial infection of sorts. if however, he doesn't improve, we're looking at the need to have chest x-rays done on our little guy. i am hoping and praying (so hard) that it won't be necessary. please let it just be a mild infection. please.
for now, i will do my darndest not to stress before we know the outcome.
