donuts. sunshine. butterfly kisses.

credit: the amazing Jodi

is it silly to call this a flash back friday post if i'm "flashing back" to just 5 days ago? hmm . . . oh well haha. this is one of the many pictures our amazing photographer took this past sunday, during our engagement shoot. so far, it is my favorite

let me set the scene for you. it was a beautifully clear, sunny day. the high was about 68℉ with a light, slightly chilly breeze. mostly just gorgeous though. we met up near this little (and i mean tiny, tiny!!) town just a bit aways from our favorite hiking spot. we got off the highway and followed this little dirt road just deep enough into the brush to get "away from civilization." from there we romped and played. and i do mean literally!

we laughed, giggled, and danced along side our gorgeous fally surroundings. i never, ever would have though a photo shoot could feel natural. i've always been the girl behind the camera. rarely in front of it. jodi and her 2nd shooter, janelle, made it so fun and normal feeling. neither the dude or myself could help but feel relaxed and at ease.

we're having a donut and coffee bar on our wedding day - we thought it fitting since we're having a morning ceremony - so we brought a box of donuts along and incorporated that aspect into our shoot. i'm slightly nervous to see all the super silly shots of us feeding donuts to each other haha.

the best part? after all was said and done, and the lens capped, the four of us climbed into the jeep and chowed munched noshed on the remaining doughy yums. it couldn't have been a more perfect day. :)

two weeks from now marks just 6 months before THE big day!!!

eeeek!!! i can't wait to get the rest of our photos. :)
